I’ve decided, it’s official.

Music is my life, well, a huge part of it anyhow.

I find it hard to concentrate with music playing, hard to relax without it playing, and I just generally feel uncomfortable without music.

I love every part of it… from Linkin Park, to Mozart… from M Manson… to Robbie Williams.. every mood requires different music.

My MP3 collection is now around 20GB’s (and that’s just on the HDD, not including the MP3 CD’s I have) and I also have 100’s of CD’s that I’ve gone out and paid for.

This also annoys me.. Napster is actually pretty useful for getting one track.. if you ever try getting a whole album.. its actually quite tedious, I get most albums from FTP’s.. however, if I find something on Napster that I like.. I normally go out and buy the album, i.e., Candlebox – Great band.. and I have all 3 of there albums, legally. If it hadn’t of been for Napster, I would of never heard of them. Recently.. its got allot worse, harder to find files, more being banned.. its a real shame.

Back at work today, and I’ve decided that this site needs a slight revamp. I’ll put some of my favourite sites somewhere, but I really should get some work done today, so I’ll make a start on it when I get home.

After my outing with Paul on Saturday, I have decided that I need a decent project to work on, apart from this site that is, something new, something either not seen of on the Internet before, or something that is on the net.. but not very popular or well done, I’ve had a few ideas… but I’m not going to share them here.. not yet.

It’s the May day parade’s tomorrow… and it’s likely people will get injured / hurt again this year… it annoys me, a lot. Why use violence.. fair enough, protest against capitalism or whatever it is… but why attack people just because they are wearing a suit? because they are trying to earn a living to give both themselves, and their family, a decent life? not everyone wants to be hippie’s, some people just want to give there family the best life that they can. THAT’S what annoys me about it.

The census form was returned last night to the government, and I have to admit, I did put my religion as Jedi – even though I know that it wont make any different, I love the fact that the government have tried to stop people from doing this by saying there will be a fine for people that lie on the form… how are they going to prove that someone’s religion isn’t a Jedi? Discrimination people will claim, and I can see court cases coming about if they try and fine people £1000 for it like they are saying.

You’ll be happy to know that thanks to those lovely people at spellchecker.com, I have put a spellchecker onto the web interface that I use… apart from that, here is a quick run down of my day..

Well, saw the trailer Harry Potter on the website today.. it actually looks quite good… the books for it were a brilliant read… its weird how both kids and adults alike can read a book and not be able to put it down.. especially one such as that. OpenBSD… one word… ARGH! it’s already giving my hassles, but I hope to have it up and running fully within the next few days.. today I went on an MP3 download spree… have the new Jannet Jackson album.. Gorillaz, and Destinys Child… will probably get a few more by then end of the week.. but its really starting to fill up my HDD… talking about MP3’s.. I got 3 CD’s though the post… the books of Nanina (all 7) and all 4 harry potter books – all read out.. I’m MP3 format… if you want a copy.. feel free to get in contact with me.

Yes, i didnt post yesterday, i have no excuse.

So – to let you know what i did… a 19 hr FreeBSD download, went out.. and its now almost 2am and im installing it on my new PC (well, not new.. newly aquired).. hopefully the router script that i’ve seen will do the job well… lik the other 3 PC’s up (now i’ve got them all in a working condition).. re-install my 2k machine.. and it “should” be a decent setup… unfortunutely, things are never that simple, so.. look forward to hearing about it soon.

I didnt get to see Linzi this weekend, its a bugger, i miss her so much when she isnt about.. hopefully it wont be too long till i get to see her again.. for anyone that’s interested.. you can see a picture of the ring here… lazy day coming up (sunday) so ill be able to read my book either a) outside (if the weather is nice) or b) in a nice relaxing bath… hope to get most of it read tomorow.. then its time to find another one… James Patterson books are pretty good.. i may get his new one.. or i may buy that other book by the author of “The Beach” – if you havn’t read that.. i totally suggest it… still havnt decided what to do with my hair…. have to do something before next week though! I’ve now realised that i installed TOOOOOO many packages on this stupid version of Linux – as it is taking quite a while to install… i think i’ll leave it to it while i go to sleep… and with that.. goodnight

Hmmm, i need my hair cut.. but do i go toni and guys and pay £40.. or do i just get it all shaved off…? contact me with what you think…

Well, i survived. Even managed it home for just before 7 o clock.. i got home and found an email that gave me some light relief.. have a look at the Dear Girls.. email that is doing the rounds at the moment. It’s also great to see that MSN had some javascript errors on it today… just goes to show that not everyone is perfect. Looks like Sun are having money problems at the moment… it’s scary though, most of the backbone of the Internet is run on Sun machines, but never fear.. by sending everyone on vacation for a week, and giving staff less free food should soon cut down the budget… click here for more info. I just hope that they are still about when i do my java course! This evening I got another URL from Sul… if you ever have problems with DNS.. then isnt it lucky that you visited this site, here’s a link to the DNS code generator anyhow. And lastly… does Bill Gates REALLY like Linux? Well, seem’s like the answer can be found in the review of RH7 on Amazon. Right now, i think ii’ll install a DVD encoder… watch Men of Honor and get an early night.

Did i say it couldn’t get worse? I was wrong… the german web developer left us last week, and it looks as though his files went with him.. so when we need to add or change the site. what was to happen but…

I’m swamped with work, my domain has been canceled due to a fuck up on my part.. and the day can’t get much worse, famous last words i know.. HOWEVER… one good thing about today is that i managed to get the web interface for this blog working.. thanks to the Open Journal really easy to set up if you have any common sense (which is why it was hard for me) Sul decided to buy two new domains that he wants to point to my server.. i told him to find a decent DNS server, and he could.. you can always trust Sul to find what you want on the Internet… The Public DNS Service is a cool (yet slow) site that allows you to enter the information readily into there DNS servers. That’s about it for now.. it’s taking a few hours to download the Swiss site to a network drive, and its starting to annoy me now, ah well, the joys of the job. The friendly ISP Lineone was told today (details on The Register’s site) – wonder how long it will be till the cfhat and forums get closed – if they do, wonder if communityuk will be started again?
