Christmas Time

19 Dec

Friday was my last day in the office until the New Year; it was topped off by visiting London for the work party, which allowed me the opportunity to see some of my old colleagues that I hadn’t seen in some time.

View some photos from the event..

We went out for lunch today with Lindsey’s parents – had a nice meal and went back to theirs for a while so all in all it was a lovely day, it will be a shame to move away from them – they have enjoyed being close to us and seeing Kieran grow up so much these past few years.

In two days time, Lindsey has her second scan; which will give us the opportunity to find out the sex of our expected baby – we are still not sure if we will find out, but I think we most likely will!

On other matters, I’m off to the British Comedy awards on Wednesday night. My ticket includes the show itself and the after show party, which should be fun. I have a new camera (that I won at work), so I’ll try and make sure I get a few photos on the night and post them here.

My Secret Santa gift also came a few days ago – whoever bought it for me has been reading the website (as they knew I was married at 22!), but did not let themselves be known! So, Ms Secret Santa, please feel free to leave a comment so I can have a look at your website and not be left in the dark!

Anyhow, bedtime beckons – I won’t be about much over the Christmas period so if I don’t post again before hand, I hope whoever is reading this has a fantastic Christmas and New Year – See you in 2005!

It’s all go, go go.

My website DNS has been a bit screwed over the past few days, so apologies if you haven’t been able to access the website or e-mail me.

It seems as though the move back down south is now inevitable – we had another offer on the house that we accepted with open arms – 500 less than the first offer, but the people that are buying it are in no chain and are ready to move as soon as we want to, our temporary moving date is January 14th, but it could be a bit after, depending on how well the solicitors do their job.

We went out into Preston over the weekend and managed to do the majority of our Christmas shopping – there are a few things left to get (mainly me needing to get things for Lindsey), but I’m glad that it was not left until Christmas Eve again!

I have just begun my last week of work before the Christmas break, it’s the work Christmas party down in London on Friday, so I’m going to take the train down (mainly so I can get a bit merry without needing to worry about driving back the next day), I get back Saturday evening and then don’t have to worry about work again until next year!

House for Sale

2 Dec

Since I wrote an entry about the idea of moving down south, we have put our house on the market and already had someone offer us a decent amount for it – we accepted the offer, but it’s only conditional, as they still have to sell theirs.

So, it looks like it will happen.

I’ve got mixed feelings about this – I want to move down, as I miss friends and family, however I know that Lindsey is going to miss her family a lot – however she was the one that suggested it, so hopefully she won’t be as unhappy as I am expecting.

My car is getting me pretty frustrated, I’ve not had it long, and after going into the garage under warranty I had it back one day before I crashed it.

Bugger.

Anyhow, I went to pick it up this morning – all looked lovely, got on the road, going about 5 minutes and guess what happened? It broke down.

Oh well, I’m hoping to get it back tomorrow night and that I won’t cause anymore damage to it, but only time will tell. I’m doomed, I tell you!
