I think the BBC have got it wrong, it was a £10.000 donation.
What Christian Voice did in bullying Maggies to turn down this donation was downright wicked and especially when that money is badly needed. I can not imagine the hurt it must have caused to the families and friends of those cancer sufferers being cared for by Maggies. What right do these religious bigots have to tell charities who they can and can’t accept donations from.
Not only have these thugs succeeded in bullying Maggies into rejecting a badly needed donation they also succeeded in in bullying the Cardiff branch of Waterstones into cancelling Patrick Jones from reciting poems from his new book of poems Darkness is Where the Stars are by Patrick Jones.
I say to any organisation don’t give in to these thugs and stand up to them. I know that I am responding to a thread that is three years old but I thought that I would add to it as the bastards continue to bully and wreak havoc and I kid thee not, they will not relent.
