Ha, this is what you get for googling “Tom McRae + King of Cards”. I was looking for the cover of the album, cause I just did what you you’re looking for
And well, gotta help a fellow Tom McRae fan out (and I trust you’ll buy the album when it comes out;)
Basically I googled “rip streaming audio wax” and freeware (wax is the extension of the Windows Media file he’s got there). I found this program called WM Recorder 11.0 – but there has to be something better out there. It was really tedious using this program – I had to restart the program after every song ripped. But basically you right click on the song on the webpage, choose “copy link location” and then paste that into whatever program you find where it says URL and download.
Helped? Yes? No?
(or you could just ask me nicely ;D)
http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ is the way to go!
Well the copy of King of Cards I currently have on loop is courtesy of Audio Hijack Pro, (http://www.rogueamoeba.com/audiohijackpro/), that said, you will need a mac for that to be useful.
So did anyone actually manage to rip the stream while the “Listening party” was taking place? I missed the party and am dying to hear this album. Could someone help me please?
