Kieron - I guess it depends on what you classify as a content based affiliate! You are of course right and I was talking more about the main business model, which historically for most all but Quidco is paid search, but obviously to use Jamie/UKWB as an example they have a cashback site (giveortake) and a number of other properties. Econversions have thisislocal and so on so forth.. . Not really a criticism of them at all and I think that Jason summed it up quite well on the forum by saying that merchants are more likely to vote for paid search affiliates as they tend to drive more sales across a wider variety of programs. .
